Ron Ebelhar, D.GE, Named 2015 ASTM Chairman |
Ronald J. Ebelhar, P.E., D.GE, F.ASTM, F.ASCE, was named as the 2015 Chairman of the ASTM International Board of Directors. ASTM International is the former American Society for Testing and Materials and is a leader in the development and delivery of international standards and is globally recognized. There are approximately 12,000 ASTM standards that are used worldwide to improve product quality, enhance safety, facilitate market access and trade as well as build consumer confidence.
Mr. Ebelhar is a senior principal at Terracon. He has served as project manager and senior consultant in connection with selected geotechnical and environmental engineering projects worldwide. Mr. Ebelhar has provided design and consulting services for a variety of commercial, industrial, waste disposal (RCRA/TSCA) and public utility applications; environmental site evaluations for commercial, industrial, and public utility sites; geotechnical engineering design and construction services; and marine geosciences and engineering field explorations.
Mr. Eblehar earned his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1975 and his MS in Civil Engineering from there in 1976. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in seven states, include Ohio, where he currently resides. He was approved for D.GE certification with the Academy’s third class in 2010.
