S. Scot Litke, D.GE (Hon.), Aff.M.ASCE, was recently named the 2014 DFI Distinguished Service Award Recipient.  The award will be presented to Litke on October 23, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia at Deep Foundation Institute’s 39th Annual Conference.  He is the 34th recipient of the award, which honors individuals chosen by their peers for exceptionally valuable contributions to the advancement of the deep foundations industry and is DFI’s highest individual award.

In 2012 he was inducted into ADSC’s Hall of Fame.  Litke served as the Executive Director of the International Association of Foundation Drilling for over 27 years before stepping down a few years ago.  He is currently Editor in Chief of Foundation Drilling Magazine, an award winning publication and was the Public Board member of the Academy of Geo-Professionals from 2009-2012 and represented the interests of “the people”.  Litke was also recently awarded the highest honor the Academy has by being named an Honorary Diplomate. 

DFI is an international association of contractors, engineers, suppliers, academics and owners in the deep foundations industry.
