Tracy Brettmann, PE, D.GE, M.ASCE, Executive Vice President of A.H. Beck Foundation Company, has been elected chair of the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust Board of Trustees.  Brettmann joined the Board of Directors of the DFI Euducational Trust in 2012 and has served as a trustee, secretary, and vice chair.  He succeeds Dan Dragone, who remains a trustee.

Brettmann has over 30 years of experience after earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Science in Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.  Prior to working at A.H. Beck Foundation Company, he was at Berkel & Company Contractors and Fugro-McClelland Consultants.

The Deep Foundations Institute Educational Trust is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2006 by the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) as its charitable arm. The mission of the Trust is to support and encourage individuals in the fields of study related to the deep foundations industry by providing scholarships and opportunities to meet and work with deep foundations industry leaders.

The Trust manages several programs to engage students and young professionals in the deep foundations industry including the Student Paper Competition, Young Professor Paper Competition, and the DFI Women in Deep Foundations Committee Professional Development Grant. The Trust also supports the ACE Mentor Program.
