The Academy of Geo-Professionals (AGP) officially added one additional Board member, Art Hoffmann, Jr., PE, D.GE, M.ASCE and elected their next President-Elect, Don Anderson, PhD, PE, GE, D.GE, M.ASCE at an AGP Board of Trustees meeting on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Romulus, MI. 

Hoffmann, who is also the Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. (CEC) President (the body that oversees the Academies) has participated in recent Board meetings/teleconferences as a CEC representative.  He was the Geo-Institute president in 2008, after serving on the G-I Board for several years. 

Hoffmann is the Senior Vice President & Corporate Quality Officer for Gannett Fleming in their Camp Hill, PA office and has over 30 years of geotechnical engineering experience.  He has his P.E. license in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia and was part of the inaugural class of Diplomates in March 2009, where he was inducted in Orlando, FL as part of the International Foundations Congress and Equipment Exposition (IFCEE 2009).  His areas of expertise include: highway, bridge, abandoned mine land, hazardous waste, rail, transit, pipeline, GIS, and building projects.

Don Anderson, PhD, PE, GE, D.GE, M.ASCE, who is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer for CH2M Hill in Bellevue, WA, was also part of the inaugural class of Diplomats from 2009.  He’s served the last two years on the Board of Trustees and has also served as the Application Committee Chair since 2013.

Anderson is a registered P.E. in Washington and California.  Anderson has over 40 years of experience as a geotechnical engineering consultant.  His consulting experience has included involvement in foundation design for highways and bridges, ports and harbor structures, water storage and treatment plant facilities, earth and rockfill dams, and solid and hazardous waste remediation projects.  He also provides specialized expertise in the areas of earthquake engineering and soil dynamics.
