Robert Thompson

Robert W, Thompson P.E., D.GE, F ASCE, Senior Consultant, CTL/Thompson Inc., Denver Colorado.  Graduate of Oklahoma State University, BSCE 1962, MSCE 1965.  Currently work only on special assignments for CTL/T and coach younger engineers regarding technical issues.  Practice primarily in partially saturated soils.  Many technical papers and presentations on expansive and collapsing soils.  Considerable effort in analysis and solution of slope problems and retained excavations. Helped found and was the first president of the Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers, president of ASFE 2003-2004.  Was very active in ASCE education efforts as an ABET evaluator for about 20 years and service on CC&A. Still active in Tennis and some ski racing.  Enjoying a relaxed schedule, travel and grandchildren.
