Ray is a Vice President for geotechnical specialty contractor Hayward Baker Inc., with responsibilities for the company’s work in the Midwest. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. Prior to joining Hayward Baker as a project manager in 2003, Ray had accumulated broad experiences with geotechnical consultants Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers, Golder Associates Inc. and ECS, Ltd.
Ray currently holds an appointment as Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern University and has been a frequent instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Engineering Professional Development program. He is a member of ASCE and the Ground Improvement Committee of the Deep Foundations Institute. He is also a past president of the ASCE Geo-Institute Chicago Chapter. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He is married with two sons, a daughter and a dog.
