Kundan K. Pandey

BIO:  I was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal.  I attended grade school in Kathmandu in the 60s and 70s.   I was home schooled up to third grade. I started attending school formally from the fourth grade.  The city was less complicated then which made the one hour walking commute to and from school reasonably safe and enjoyable.  In the early 80s, I attended college in India at the University of Roorkee (currently Indian Institute of Technology at Roorkee).  After graduating with a B. E. degree in Civil Engineering, I worked as a civil engineer for the Nepal Electricity Authority from mid to late 80s.  In that capacity, I was involved in the feasibility study, design, and construction of small hydroelectric projects.  In the early to mid 90s, I pursued graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.

After completing my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Oklahoma in civil engineering with concentration in geotechnical engineering, I joined Reed Engineering Group in February 1997 as a project geotechnical engineer.  In 2001 and 2002, I worked for American Geotechnical in Yorba Linda, California and for PSI at Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a brief period of time at each company.  Since 2002, I have been with Reed Engineering Group as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
